Police recover truck and trailer full of stolen property on Chief Lake Road

The Prince George RCMP is looking to reunite a large amount of stolen property with its rightful owners.

On Tuesday, September 21, the Prince George RCMP attended a rural property on Chief Lake Road to investigate a report of suspicious activity. When officers arrived at the location, they located a truck and trailer that appeared to be full of stolen property.

Police seized the truck and trailer and investigators are currently itemizing the property inside.

“Most of the items appear to belong to rural, likely waterfront, properties,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper of the Prince George RCMP. “Police have found items such as boat motors, generators and various tools. We are asking those people with property north of town, anywhere from the Chieflake Road area to as far as Mackenzie, to check their properties and outbuildings for missing items.”

If you believe you have items missing from your property, you can call the Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300 to speak with an investigator. Reference file number 2021-36985. Owners will have to have make, model description and, where possible, the serial number of the item to prove ownership.

If you have any information about this or any other criminal offence, please contact the Prince George RCMP at (250)561-3300 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1(800)222-8477 or online at www.northernbccrimestoppers.ca (English only).
