Volunteer applications now being accepted for 2022 World Women’s in Prince George

Your opportunity to get involved with the 2022 World Women’s Curling Championship in Prince George, has arrived.

The 2022 World Women’s Championship is set for March 19-27 at the CN Centre, and you can contribute to the success of the event as a volunteer during what promises to be a truly memorable championship, for curling and for the City of Prince George.

A variety of volunteer roles are available for set-up and takedown, working in the stands during games and behind the scenes at various checkpoints. Volunteers are also needed for a variety of media roles and assisting in keeping lounges stocked with refreshments and food.

The World Famous Patch, located at the Kin Centre, will also be in full swing during the event. The party zone will be electrifying with live music and more. Volunteers make it all possible by bartending, bussing, assisting patrons with the cashless banking system and enjoying the camaraderie of the Patch.

All volunteers pay a $100 rewards fee, which includes:

  • Official volunteer uniform and e-handbook
  • Limited edition volunteer pin
  • Access to the venue when not on shift (space permitting)
  • Access to the Patch with live entertainment
  • Invitation to the volunteer appreciation party.

As per updated Curling Canada policy, all volunteers are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to participate in the event.
