Shots fired in VLA Sunday night

Mounties are currently investigating a shooting incident in the VLA on Sunday night.

Just before midnight on August 14, the Prince George RCMP received a report of gunshots at a residence on the 2100 block of Redwood Street.

Officers quickly responded to the complaint and found a basement suite with several people inside who had been hit with bear spray. Investigators also found evidence of several shots fired at the residence.

“We are currently looking for anyone in the area who witnessed the incident whom investigators have not yet spoken to,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, of the Prince George RCMp. “Also, if anyone in the area has surveillance or dash cam footage that shows the suspects arriving or leaving the house or shows the vehicle the suspects left in, believed to be a white or silver 4-door SUV, please contact police by calling 250-561-3300 with that information.”

No one was injured in the incident. This investigation is ongoing.
