Cougars hire new equipment manager

Kory Achtymichuk

The Prince George Cougars have hired Kory Achtymichuk as the team’s new equipment manager.

Achtymichuk replaces outgoing equipment manager Ramandeep “Chico” Dhanjal who recently accepted a position with the Abbotsford Canucks in the American Hockey League.

“Kory worked for a great organization in Regina, and he is ready to take the next step. We look forward to him joining our team for the upcoming season,” said Cougars’ GM & Head Coach Mark Lamb.

The Wadena, Saskatchewan product spent the past four seasons as the Assistant Equipment Manager of the Regina Pats. With the Pats, Achtymichuk worked the 2017 WHL Final and the 2018 Kia Memorial Cup.

“I’m excited for the new opportunity and I look forward to joining a great organization in the Prince George Cougars,” said Achtymichuk.

Achtymichuk will start with the Cougars this month.
