The wildfire situation is continually evolving, and the information below is current as of 7 p.m. (Pacific time) on Wednesday, July 22, 2021.

* Wildfires burning in B.C.: 272

* Since April 1:
* 1,187 wildfires

* 360,835 hectares burnt

* Active fires by fire centre:
* Cariboo: 45

* Coastal: eight

* Kamloops: 98

* Northwest: four

* Prince George: 53

* Southeast: 64

Crews and equipment:

* Firefighters and other personnel currently fighting the fires: 3,193 (total, includes out-of-province and aerial support)

* Out-of-province firefighters: 64

* Helicopters and planes supporting ground crews: 198

Evacuations:

* Evacuation orders: 58 (+8)

* Evacuation alerts: 78 (-1)

* Properties:
* Number of properties on order: 5,084 (+733)

* Number of properties on alert: 17,489 (-202)

* Orders and alerts by Emergency Management BC region:
* Vancouver Island Central Coast: zero

* Northwest: three orders, 4 (-1) alerts

* Northeast: four orders, 16 alerts

* Central: 44 (+10) orders, 48 (+4) alerts

* Southeast: seven (-2) orders, eight (-4) alerts

* Southwest: zero orders, two alerts
