Four people arrested in connection with Sunday morning shooting

Four people were arrested Sunday morning after shots were apparently fired at a home in the 3800-block of Westwood Drive.

Prince George RCMP were called out shortly after 8:30 a.m. and began looking for those responsible. Police had several people detained outside a house on Vance Road, about a block away shortly thereafter.

“Police arrested four people in relation to this event,” said Const. Jennifer Cooper of the Prince George RCMP. “Investigators released three of the people involved pending further investigation and held one of the people in-custody on unrelated matters. Police are familiar with all involved and are currently investigating this incident as a targeted shooting. There were no injuries reported in this incident.”

Investigators are asking that anyone in the area with dash cam or surveillance footage from the hours of 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. that police have not already spoken with please contact Prince George RCMP by calling 250-561-3300.

There is currently no threat to public safety. This file remains under investigation.
