Tabor Lake lagoon getting an upgrade

Improvements are coming to the Tabor Lake lagoon site.

The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George board authorized spending up to up to $347,190 from the Community Works Fund for embankment rehabilitation at the Tabor Lake lagoon. The regional district has operated the Tabor Lake Sewer System since 1984.

The Tabor Lake Sewer System provides for the operation of a community sewer system to serve a portion of the community of Tabor Lake. The lagoon/spray irrigation system presently serves forty-three lots. Over the years, there have been issues with capacity and discharge limitations of the lagoon system. Funding will be used to raise the berm in the south-east corner of the storage lagoon which will help improve operation of the lagoon.
