Duelling mask rallies in Prince George

It was duelling mask rally day Saturday.

Several local nurses, fed up with weekly anti-mask rallies in front of CN Centre, decided to rally in support of mask mandates due to the COVID-19 pandemic. About 25 people, led by Wesley Mitchell who has led drumming sessions outside of UHNBC to support frontline workers, showed up carrying placards and urging passersby to honk.

By 11 a.m., about 75 anti-mask ralliers, complete with tents and a PA system, showed up on the opposite side of the street.

The police were monitoring the rallies.
