Tenants in Prince George have the opportunity to learn about their rights as renters during a free virtual program on Friday, May 7. The Prince George Public Library has partnered with the Justice Education Society to present Renters Rights. The program takes place on Zoom at 12:00pm.
The session will cover the basics of tenancy in B.C., how to write a tenancy agreement, tenant rights and responsibilities, and how to end a lease or deal with an eviction notice. In addition, participants will also learn about the impact of COVID-19 on renters including legal changes and a renter’s responsibilities and rights during the pandemic.
