Stargazing through the night and feeling like you can reach up and touch the sky from the comfort of a warm bed – that’s what guests who stay in the Bubble House at Woodhouse Cottages and Ranch get to experience.
In May, Woodhouse will again open their seasonal Bubble House for guests to enjoy. One of the few bubble experiences in Canada, the Bubble House is a four-room bubble cottage set into the woods complete with all of the necessary amenities including a private fire table, barbecue and food station, and owner Maureen Woodhouse’s incredible homemade cinnamon buns.
Completely secluded from the rest of the ranch, the Bubble House allows you to immerse yourself completely in nature. Bookings for 2021 are filling up fast and guests are encouraged to book their stay soon!
Located just 20 minutes from Prince George, Woodhouse also offers three unique year-round cottages. As a working ranch with cows, horses and chickens, guests are treated to a true agri-experience. Getting back to basics and surrounded by nature, visitors are encouraged to walk the property, play around the man-made swimming lake and feed the horses their daily treats of carrots.
Away from the stresses of COVID, guests are treated with the space necessary to breathe and relax; waking to spectacular sunrises and finishing the day with incredible sunsets on this 300-acre ranch.
With so many shifts and pivots through the first year of COVID, Woodhouse Cottages and Ranch held their breath along with the rest of the world. While the tourism and hospitality sectors were hit incredibly hard, Woodhouse Cottages and Ranch was no exception as national and international guests cancelled. Woodhouse was fortunate to rebound as stay-cations were encouraged and the local community found their way to the Ranch. Once travel restrictions are lifted and regional and provincial travel is encouraged, Woodhouse looks forward to sharing their little piece of paradise with even more visitors.
They introduced many safe experiences for their guests over the winter including skating, snowmobiling, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing trails and outdoor bonfires, and look forward this summer to introducing many more options for their guests.
Thanks to a Northern Development Initiatives Trust COVID-19 business support grant Woodhouse was able to develop a marketing strategy and a brand video and photo assets that showcase the many different types of memories that take place on the ranch, with the goal of positioning this Northern BC destination for growth and helping to rebuild the tourism economy.
The only way to truly understand the magic that is Woodhouse Cottages and Ranch is to experience it in person but their new video, released today, is the next best thing. The video can be found here: http://bit.ly/woodhouseGB
Woodhouse Cottages & Ranch is located 20 minutes West of Prince George on the Lower Mud River Road.
