On March 11, at 1:15 p.m., the Prince George RCMP received report of a suspect stealing packages from a residence located on the 1600 block of Gillett Street.
The homeowner reported they saw a man on their front door surveillance walk up and steal two packages from the front steps. The homeowner provided police with a very detailed description of the suspect, which aided members in locating the male.
Less than 45 minutes after the initial report came in to police, members had the suspect arrested. Police identified the male as 40-year-old Jeffrey Krafczyk. Police are familiar with Krafczyk and transported him to the police detachment on 4th Avenue and Victoria Street until he could attend court.
“The B.C. Prosecution Service approved one charge of theft under $5,000 and one charge of Fail to comply with probation against Krafczyk,” said Const. Jennifer Cooper of the Prince George RCMP. Mr. Krafczyk is back in the community on a release order until his next court appearance at the end of March.
