Snowfall warning issued for Prince George and Pine Pass

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall for Prince George and the Pine Pass with total amounts of 10 to 15cm is expected.

A strong frontal system passing through northern B.C. will bring heavy snow to much of the north and central interior today and tonight.

Snow over Dease Lake will spread to Williston, Stuart-Nechako, Prince George, and McGregor regions this afternoon. Snow will reach the Cariboo and Yellowhead regions this evening.

Heavy snow will ease early Sunday morning as the front moves out of the region.

Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Take frequent breaks and avoid strain when clearing snow.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to BCstorm@canada.ca or tweet reports using #BCStorm.
