Two break and enters on February 15

The Prince George RCMP responded to two reports of break-and-enter in the early morning hours of February 15.

The first break-and-enter occurred at 2:50 a.m. at Walk-Rite shoes located at 1249 Fourth Ave. Police were notified by security that the front door was broken into and a hole large enough for a person could be seen. Members attended the location within ten minutes of the call coming in but did not locate anyone in the area. Security personnel stated they saw a person dressed in all black riding a bicycle in the area but did not know if that was the suspect involved. The suspect took $200 cash from the till and possibly some shoes.

The second break-and-enter occurred at 3:07 a.m. at Surplus Herby’s located at 1175 Second Avenue. Witnesses notified police that a person was smashing the front-side glass at the store. Frontline members arrived within three minutes of the receiving the call but did not locate the suspect. The suspect took several air rifles from this location and likely was on a bicycle. Surveillance at the location showed a male wearing:

  • Black balaclava
  • Camouflage green jacket
  • Dark coloured pants
  • Thick, light brown and yellow mittens

These files are both under investigation.
