A 27-year-old man is facing a murder charge following the death of a 22-year-old woman in Fort St. John Monday.
Police were called out were called to a residence in the 8900 Block of 102 Ave. around 7:30 p.m. When police arrived on scene, a 22-year-old woman was found deceased.
A 27-year-old man was arrested without incident at the scene and remains in police custody. All parties involved are known to each other and police believe there is no further risk to the public.
The Alaska Highway News is reporting that court document show Shane Sutherland has been charged with second degree murder in the killing of Amanda Black.
