One man is in police custody after he stabbed another man in the downtown core of Quesnel Tuesday.
At approximately 3:40 p.m., Quesnel RCMP responded to the 100 block of Carson Avenue after receiving a 911 call that someone was being stabbed. When the police arrived, they located one man who had sustained several stab wounds.
The injured man was transported by ambulance to GR Baker Memorial Hospital in serious condition. His injuries are not considered to be life threatening.
The suspect was taken into custody at the scene without incident.
“We are not looking for any other suspects in relation to this incident,” said Sgt. Richard Weseen of the Quesnel RCMP.
The names of the suspect and the victim are not being released at this time.
