Do you need business advice to help your business grow, pivot or become more profitable? You have the chance to win that help, in a new contest developed by MNP and supported by the City of Prince George Economic Development.

The three-stage ‘Grow The North’, contest invites business owners to propose their own idea to solve a business challenge they are experiencing. Applicants will be competing not for cash, but for professional business consulting to help make their proposal a reality.

The stages:

  1. Applicants submit a five-page description of their proposal
  2. Six finalists receive an initial consultation with MNP professionals to help prepare them for
  3. Live presentation by finalists in front of judges. Three winners will be selected.

The top prize, valued at over $26,000, is 75 hours of business consulting from MNP. Second and third prizes are 25 hours ($8,750) and 10 hours ($3,500) of consulting.

“We want to do something positive to support the business community,” said Jameel Sayani, Regional Managing Partner for MNP. “As a firm, we have a multitude of services to offer – from enterprise risk management, succession planning, tech consulting and executive recruitment, to feasibility studies and performance improvement. This is a great opportunity to help local businesses thrive and we are excited that the City of Prince George is joining us.”

All types of proposals are welcome, from implementing e-commerce solutions to growing capacity to designing an employee share purchase program.
