RCMP investigating car stunt at College Heights

The Prince George RCMP are launching an investigation into a viral video from the College Heights area.

The video circulated quickly on the weekend, garnering more than 2,700 shares and more than 130,000 views. It depicts a dark coloured, four-door sedan driving through the strip mall at 6977 Gladstone Place. The vehicle is traveling at a high rate of speed and then uses the elevated surface of the strip mall to jump the fence around the field at College Heights Secondary School. The vehicle then drives out of the school field.

Police request that the individual who filmed the stunt and the driver of the vehicle come forward with their information.

“This was a dangerous stunt that put the lives of those in the area at risk,” said Const. Jennifer Cooper of the Prince George RCMP.  “It occurred during the day at what appears to be peak shopping hours for the strip mall. Additionally, children frequently use that hill for sledding. We are making a plea to the public, and particularly the driver of the vehicle, to come forward with what they know.”

If anyone in the area has surveillance or dash cam footage that shows the incident, police would like to see that, as well.

The investigation is ongoing. If you have any information about this incident, please contact the Prince George RCMP by calling 250-561-3300.
