Snowfall warnings for road into Alberta and the Cariboo

If you’re heading to Alberta or into the Cariboo, make sure you have your snow tires on.

Environment Canada has issue a snowfall warning for Yellowhead Highway – Tête Jaune Cache to the Alberta Border

Snowfall with total amounts of 15 to 25 cm is expected.

A vigorous frontal system moving across BC will bring heavy snow to the interior regions tonight.

For Chilcotin, Cariboo – South including Williams Lake and Yellowhead regions, precipitation will start as rain and change to snow this evening. Total snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm are expected before the heavy snow eases off Wednesday morning.

Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.

Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.

https://shiftintowinter.ca/ reminds drivers to know before you go. Adjust to winter driving behaviour and use winter tires and chains.

Road conditions are available at www.drivebc.ca.
