City crews are at the scene of a water main break on Southridge Avenue near O’Grady Road in College Heights. The water main broke earlier this morning, causing most of the Vista Ridge subdivision to lose water service. The city expects to have water flows restored later today.
Southridge Avenue remains open at this time, but has been reduced to one lane of traffic to accommodate the repair operation. No other streets are affected. If possible, drivers are advised to plan alternate routes.
The water main, which is about 25cm in diameter and made of iron, was installed in 1993.
