Charges laid in connection with attempt robbery in Williams Lake

Williams Lake RCMP have identified the people allegedly responsible for the attempted robbery on Monday, December 21 2020.

One person was assaulted with bear spray while using the ATM at the Scotia Bank. The two suspects fled the scene without any cash from the victim.

It was reported that a possible third person waited outside, however police have identified that individual and learned this person had no involvement in the attempted robbery.

The two suspects have been identified as Justin Cahoose, 37, and Justin Langlands, 24, both from Williams Lake.

Justin Cahoose has been charged with robbery and Justin Langlands has been charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. Both men are scheduled to appear in Williams Lake Provincial Court on Wednesday, January 13 2021.
