Bearspray used in attempted robbery at Williams Lake ATM

Would-be robbers used bear spray in an attempt to rob a man at an ATM machine in Williams Lake Monday.

The incident happened at about 8:20 a.m. at the Scotia Bank. The victim was using the ATM when two men, who were already inside, demanded cash from the victim. The suspects then bear sprayed the man and fled on foot without getting any money. It is believed there was a third man outside.

Since the onset of the investigation, one suspect has been identified and efforts continue to identify the remaining suspects.
