Prince George RCMP are investigating a report of a suspicious-looking person near an elementary school on Wednesday.
Shortly after 8 a.m. were called out to 17th Avenue and Hemlock Street, near Ron Brent Elementary School. The report advised that the driver of a vehicle approached an elementary school aged youth and offered them some food. The driver allegedly got out of the vehicle and spoke further with the youth who continued on their way. The driver then left the area. The driver is described as:
- Caucasian male
- Dark hair
- Approximately 5’10”
- Muscular build
- Wearing a grey sweatshirt
The vehicle is described as:
- Green in colour
- 4-door, possibly a hatchback
- Possibly an import model
The Prince George RCMP are asking that anyone in that area with security cameras please contact 250-561-3300.
The investigation is continuing. Investigators would like to speak to the persons or persons involved. At this time, police would also like to remind the adult public that it is not appropriate to approach school-aged children not known to you.
