Snow expected in the Pine Pass, Peace region

A large section of the province is under a snowfall warning today.

If you’re headed north, make sure you’re prepared as hazardous winter conditions are expected.

A Pacific storm will approach British Columbia tonight and Tuesday. Heavy snow and strong winds will combine to produce blowing snow across Pine Pass where 20 cm of snow will accumulate on Tuesday.

Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow.

Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.

https://shiftintowinter.ca/ reminds drivers to know before you go. Adjust to winter driving behaviour and use winter tires and chains.
