Shots fired at Mackenzie residential complex

Mackenzie RCMP are investigating after shots were fired at a residential complex Friday.

Police were called just before 1 a.m. to the complex on Stuart Drive. A resident reported hearing a bang and noticed a bullet hole through an upstairs window of the home. Upon further investigation, more bullet holes were located in the wall of the residence.

“This appears targeted however it is believed that those responsible were at the wrong house,” said Sgt Jayson Davidson, NCO i/c Mackenzie RCMP. “The outcome could have ended tragically.”

The investigation is ongoing and remains a priority. The RCMP is asking anyone with information to call the police.
