Lest we forget

BY BOB ZIMMER

Prince George-Peace River-Northern Rockies MP

Remembrance Day is a time to honour those who have fought to protect our freedoms and way of life.

It is a time to reflect on the high price of freedom and pay tribute to those who answer the call to serve our nation. For those of us who owe our freedom to the service of both past and present generations, it is our duty to support and remember those who have sacrificed so much for us.

I have the utmost respect for those who are willing to risk their lives for our freedom. It has always been one of my greatest privileges to be able to meet our local Veterans and thank them personally for everything they have done for our country.

I know this year’s Remembrance Day will look a little different from those in years past, but I hope you will take the time to reflect on the service and sacrifices that have been made so that we can enjoy the freedoms that we have today. This year, I will be remembering and saying thank you in Fort St. John.
