Some early ice on Shane Lake didn’t prevent the city from installing a new dock at Forests For The World earlier this week.
The new structure is a bit bigger and much more stable than the old dock, which was about 30 years old and showing signs of rot and age. The new dock still needs permanent anchoring and connections to the shore, and Parks crews will be improving some of the trails in the area over the days ahead.
Please avoid the dock and be mindful of crews in the area as the projects are completed.
