The second in a series of Pro-D Day hockey camps will include one-hour ice sessions for minor hockey players of all skill levels. Each ice session is $35, which includes a Cougars’ merchandise pack and a ticket voucher to a future Cougars’ regular season home game.
“Our September Pro-D Day Hockey School sold out quickly, and the feedback was overwhelmingly very positive,” said Cougars’ Vice President, Business Andy Beesley. “We feel this next one offers great choices that appeals to all skill levels of minor hockey players in our community. We wanted to help fill the void the pandemic has created, and we look forward to continuing to offer a great resource for minor hockey players throughout the fall and winter season.”
All ice sessions will be instructed by the Cougars’ coaching staff, led by General Manager & Head Coach and Stanley Cup champion Mark Lamb. Lamb will be joined by Goaltending Coach Taylor Dakers (AHL & WHL alum), and Development Coach Steve O’Rourke (WHL & Pro alum).
The format for ice sessions have been revised, as the morning will feature three sessions of fun, three-on-three scrimmages that are open to any skill level. Those ice sessions being at 8:00 am. Elite-level ice sessions will take place in the afternoon, starting at 12:30 pm. Also, a new age category has been added to include 11 & 12-year-olds.
