Several charges laid after police search Nation Cres. residence

Nine people were arrested after police executed a search warrant at a Nation Crescent residence.

The Prince George RCMP’s Street Crew Unit with the assistance of the North District RCMP’s Emergency Response Team, executed the search warrant early Wednesday.

The search found a significant amount of methamphetamine, drug trafficking paraphernalia, ammunition, and a modified rifle with the serial number removed.

A 23-year-old woman, 31-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man were released pending further investigation and charge assessment from the Federal Prosecution Service of Canada. A 26-year-old man was found to have an outstanding arrest warrant. He was provided with a new court date and released without consideration of additional charges. The remaining five adults were released without consideration of additional charges.

The investigation is continuing.
