Two men charged following Wednesday’s raid on Lyon Street residence

Charges have been laid against two men who were arrested Wednesday when police executed a search warrant at a residence in the 400-block of South Lyon Street.

Thomas Joshua Toman, a 21-year-old Prince George man, has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Careless storage of a firearm (2 counts)
  • Possession of a firearm without a licence (2 counts)
  • Possession of a firearm without authorization (2 counts)
  • Fail to comply with an undertaking (3 counts)

Jamie Wade Fatum, a 28-year-old Prince George man, has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Careless storage of a firearm (2 counts)
  • Possession of a firearm without a licence (2 counts)
  • Possession of a firearm without authorization (2 counts)
  • Possession of a firearm while prohibited (2 counts)
  • Fail to comply with probation (3 counts)

Both accused will appear in court on Wednesday September 30.

The action taken by police was a direct result of the ongoing investigation into the increased violence involving firearms in the community.
