On Wednesday at approximately 1:30 p.m., Prince George RCMP received a hold-up alarm from a restaurant on the corner of 20th Avenue and Victoria Street. Initial indication was that an irate woman was threatening staff in the restaurant with needles.
Officers attended immediately. A 50-year-old Prince George resident was located and arrested without further incident. She was found to be in possession of stolen cheques and was breaching the conditions of a release order from a previous incident.
The woman was believed to be intoxicated by drugs and was heavily agitated before and during contact with police. She was held by police overnight and will appear in court later today, pending charge assessment from the BC Prosecution Service.
