A group of five hunters, reported overdue shortly before midnight Monday, are reportedly safe.
The group, three adults and two children, were hunting off Blackwater Road, southwest of Prince George and failed to return home, as planned Monday.
Officers patrolled the area for much of the night looking for the vehicle the missing hunters were in, without success.
Emergency Management BC was contacted and deployed the Prince George Search and Rescue Society at first light this morning.
Later this morning, family members were able to make contact with the overdue hunters via a satellite phone. The hunters suffered vehicle trouble, but were fine and did not wish further assistance.
The search has been concluded.
