A gun was seized and four people arrested after police responded to weapons-related report at a motel in the 3400-block of the Hart Highway Saturday.
Officers and a police dog service team attended the motel shortly after 8 a.m.. Four occupants of the room eventually cooperated with police and were taken into custody without incident. While searching the room for other occupants, officers located a loaded handgun and ammunition.
One of the occupants, a 33-year-old man, was found to be wanted on previous firearms related charges dating back to August, 2019. The three other people, a 28-year-old woman, 27-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man, were all released without charge pending further investigation. All four are Prince George residents.
This investigation is continuing.
