Method Dance Society receives Prince George Arts Micro-Grant

The Community Arts Council of Prince George and District has named the Method Dance Society as  the recipient of the 2020 Prince George Arts Micro-Grant.

Method Dance Society is an exciting new professional performing arts company here in Prince George and is currently planning an inaugural season for 2020-2021.

The Prince George Arts Micro-Grant Program is financially supported by the annual Mayor’s Black & White Ball for the Arts event organized by the Prince George Symphony Orchestra, Theatre NorthWest and the Community Arts Council, with hosts Mayor Lyn Hall and his wife Lorelle Hall . The grant program supports the success of Prince George’s emerging artists or arts organizations by providing financial support for short-term projects. The goal of this program is to provide momentum to projects currently underway but might not reach their full potential without a small or prompt financial investment.

Eligible projects must:
• Impact Prince George audiences or strengthen connection with the community
• Be short-term
• Be comprised of eligible expenses that will improve the quality, or viability, of the project, or its reach.

While the 2020 Mayor’s Black & White Bal was cancelled this year due to COVID-19, several generous benefactors held to their previous funding commitments, allowing the Micro-Grant program to continue as planned.
