Emergency Response Team called in to assist as police raid house, find gun

On Friday August 14, at approximately 4 a.m., the Prince George RCMP received a firearms report related to a residence on the 2600-block of Oak Street.

Frontline officers attended the scene and secured the area.  The North District RCMP’s Emergency Response Team was called-in to assist. 

Residents in the immediate area were spoken to and advised of the situation.

At approximately 11 a.m., occupants of the residence were taken into custody without further incident.  In all, a total of five men and one woman associated to this residence were taken into custody.  Officers seized an AK-47-style firearm.

This investigation is in its early stages.
