A single-vehicle accident on Highway 16 east of Terrace has claimed a life.
Terrace RCMP were called out at 10:43 a.m. on Wednesday. A commercial vehicle with an empty flatbed, had gone off the road and down an embankment. The driver, and lone occupant of the semi was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing and causal factors are not yet known. The highway was closed for a short time, but later opened to single alternating traffic as the scene investigation continued.
