Three people were arrested after police executed a search warrant at a residence on Kenwood Street Sunday. The search of the residence yielded a significant amount of fentanyl, cocaine and cash, along with a loaded handgun, shotgun and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
Damiond Rain Sutherland, 22, Angeline Louise Hammerstrom, 40, and Colin Michaud Durrand, 29, all from Prince George, have all been charged by the BC Prosecution Service with failing to comply with a release order in relation to previous, yet separate incidents.
Durrand was also arrested for having several outstanding arrest warrants stemming from nine separate incidences that occurred since July 2019.
Sutherland was held in custody and will appear in court later today. Hammerstrom and Durrand have been held in custody and are scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday August 18. Both Hammerstrom and Durrand have a history of violence, say police, and are priority offenders for the Prince George RCMP.
The drug trafficking investigation is continuing. Once completed, the investigation will be disclosed to the Federal Prosecution Service of Canada for charge assessment.
