Lots of rain yesterday, but no record set

Yup, it was wet yesterday. But it wasn’t the wettest July 2 on record.

Environment Canada reports that 24.3mm of rain fell in Prince George yesterday. However, it’s short of the record 33.8mm of rain that fell on July 2, 2000.

And hopefully the heavy rain is over. The forecast for today is mainly cloudy with a 30 per cent chance of showers early this morning. Fog patches dissipating this morning. Wind becoming southwest 20 km/h this afternoon. High 17 degrees Celsisu. UV index 7 or high.

Tonight the forecast calls for cloudy skies with a 60 per cent chance of showers late this evening and overnight. Wind southwest 20 km/h becoming light this evening and a low of 11 degrees Celsius.
