Just before 8 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16, the Prince George RCMP received a report of an incident involving a firearm in the Salmon Valley area.
Officers including a police dog service team attended the area. Investigators requested the assistance of the North District RCMP’s Emergency Response Team and Air Services Section. The investigation led to the arrest of a 50-year-old male resident of the area.
The incident involved two men known to each other. No shots were believed to have been fired. The man remains in police custody, however charges are yet to be laid. The investigation is ongoing.
