Costco shoppers got a bit of surprise Wednesday afternoon when RCMP officers descended on the store and they were evacuated.
Shortly after noon police were called to a report of a suspicious-looking package near Costco, located on Range Road. There was a concern for the safety of people in the building along with those in neighbouring businesses, therefore, the immediate area was evacuated.
Once it was confirmed that the package was not posing a risk to public safety, the businesses in the area were re-opened.
