Prince George RCMP are investigating a stabbing in the downtown core this morning.
Police responded to Fourth Avenue and Queensway at about 7:30 a.m. after receiving a call from a member of the public. Officers attended and located the man receiving medical treatment from bystanders who stopped to help. The man appeared to be suffering injuries consistent with being stabbed. Paramedics attended and provided medical treatment to the victim. The injuries did not appear to be life threatening.
The investigation has led officers to believe altercation occurred between a group of people in the area, possibly near the corner of Second Avenue and Dominion Street. One man was subsequently stabbed.
This incident appears to be targeted. Police are continuing to investigate and are actively seeking the person or persons responsible.
