Drug search warrant executed at scene of a recent attempted murder

Police executed a search warrant Wednesday at a house in the 1200-block of Fifth Avenue, which was the scene of an attempted murder earlier this month. The Prince George RCMP’s Downtown Safety Unit executed the search warrant at about 5 p.m.

Two occupants were arrested without incident.  Investigators located fentanyl, cocaine and methadone in the residence, along with drug trafficking paraphernalia and cash.  Two BB guns, a pellet gun, various tools, and stolen personal identification, were also seized.

The 28-year-old woman and 35-year-old were released pending further investigation and charge approval from the Federal Prosecution Service of Canada.

This residence was the location of a reported aggravated assault on May 3.  An man was the victim of a shooting and suffered life-threatening injuries.  The Prince George RCMP’s Serious Crime Section is leading the investigation, which is now being treated as an attempted murder.  This incident was targeted and related to the drug trade.
