Prince George Ford has donated 200 face shields to the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation, to be used by frontline workers at the University Hospital of Northern B.C.
“We are proud to donate these 200 Shields to the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation for use at UHNBC and help support the front line workers right here in our community,” said Chris Wall, general manager of Prince George Ford. “Prince George Ford has strived for a more personal connection with the community in the last few years and we look to continue that push for connection. We hope it helps bring some sense of security in these unprecedented times.”
Ford Canada in total has produced over 14,000 face shields through their Windsor Plant and as they are produced, they have been offered all over Canada. These are the first of their kind to arrive in the province.
“This donation of PPE is very greatly appreciated,” said Judy Neiser, CEO of Spirit of the North. “Locally Ford has been a significant donor to Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation through generous cash donations as well as participating in the Festival of Trees last year. We are grateful for all that they do for the community in general and this is another example of their generosity and caring nature.”
