Man suffers life-threatening injuries in assault

A man is suffering from possible life-threatening injuries following an aggravated assault Monday morning.

Police say there were called to a residence in the 1200-block of Fifth Avenue at 9:40 a.m. were the found a man suffering from what appeared to be life-threatening injuries. He was transported to hospital for treatment.

The Prince George RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit has taken conduct of the investigation.

Investigators believe this incident was targeted and have no reason to believe the general public is at risk. The investigation is ongoing and is a priority for the detachment.
