Five people arrested in two different property-related crimes

Five people have been arrested following two different property-related crimes on the weekend.

At approximately 6:50 a.m. on Sunday, the Prince George RCMP received a report of a vehicle theft in progress from a commercial business on Ongman Road.

The investigation led officers to Shelley Road, east of Prince George, where two men and woman were arrested without incident.  The stolen vehicle was recovered along a power line cut near-by.

All three suspects, a 30-year-old man, 27-year-old man and 21-year-old woman, were released with conditions for court on August 19.  All are Prince George residents.

At approximately 7 a.m. the same day, the Prince George RCMP received a report of a break and enter to a commercial compound on River Road.

Officers attended the area and located a man and a woman at the scene.  Both were arrested without incident.

The 40-year-old man and the 36-year-old woman, both Prince George residents, were released on documents to appear in court on August 19.

The Prince George RCMP would like to remind vehicle owners, especially pickup truck owners, to utilize anti-theft devices such as immobilizers.
