Break and enter to compound, stolen truck recovered

Prince George police are trying to track down a truck thief.

At approximately 11:20 p.m. on Sunday April 26, the Prince George RCMP received a report of a break and enter to a commercial property on the 1800 block of First Avenue.

Officers attended and located the gate to the fenced compound laying on First Avenue.  The investigation led officers to believe that a grey Dodge 2500 pickup had been stolen from the compound.

At approximately 3:20 a.m., the vehicle was located in a parking lot on PG Pulpmill Road.  Significant damage to the front end of the truck.  The truck was seized and will undergo a forensic examination.

At this time, a suspect or suspects have not been identified.
