Search yields drugs and firearms

Two men were arrested following an RCMP search of a residence in the 2100-block of Spruce Street Sunday.

Police executed a search warrant at the house in the early hours. During the search, police seized several grams of methamphetamine and suspected fentanyl. In addition, two firearms, a prohibited magazine, and a small amount of cash were seized.

Two men were arrested on scene. One man was held for investigation and later released pending further investigation and charge approval from the Federal Prosecution Service of Canada. The other had an outstanding warrant and was released with a pending court date.
