COVID-19: Community Foundation provides $60,000 crisis funding to three local organizations

The Prince George Community Foundation is providing $60,000 in funding to three local agencies to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Our community is facing new and unforeseen challenges as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic,” reads a statement from the organization. “It is at times like this where we must do all that we can to support one another.”

The goundation is providing $25,000 to the St. Vincent de Paul – Food Bank, $25,000 to the Salvation Army – Food Bank and $10,000 to the United Way of Northern BC for the new COVID-19 Response Fund. These dollars will provide much needed resources to help these organizations with their on the ground response efforts.
