On Wednesday March 18 at approximately 5:20 a.m., the Prince George RCMP responded to a report of two men checking for unlocked vehicles in a parking lot on Commercial Crescent in Prince George.
Officers, including a police dog service team, responded to the report. When confronted by police, both men tried to flee, but were arrested shortly after with the assistance of police service dog Taz. One suspect had multiple outstanding arrest warrants.
The BC Prosecution Service has approved the following Criminal Code charges against 40-year-old William Gerald McBride of Prince George:
- Resist arrest
- Possession of break-in instruments
- Breach of release order
The BC Prosecution Service has approved the following Criminal Code charges against 33-year-old Christopher Eugene McBride who recently resided in Maple Ridge and Victoria, BC:
- Resist arrest
- Possession of break-in instruments
- Breach of release order
- Fail to comply with probation
Both accused were remanded in custody until their next court dates scheduled for later this month.
