Traffic stop leads to drug and weapons seizure

On Monday March 16 at approximately 5:30 p.m., officers with the Prince George RCMP’s Downtown Safety Unit conducted a vehicle stop on Massey Drive in Prince George.

A passenger of the vehicle was recognized and found to have an outstanding warrant.  He was arrested without incident.  During the arrest, officers located a substantial amount of drugs and cash, along with several weapons including hatchets, hunting knives and ammunition.  All were seized.

The 46-year-old Prince George man was held for investigation and later released pending further investigation and charge approval from the Federal Prosecution Service of Canada.
