COVID-19: Northern FanCon moving to the fall

Northern FanCon is moving to the fall, due to COVID-19 concerns.

The annual three-day event was scheduled for May 8-10 and will now be held September 25-27.

“Our hearts go out to our entire community and the world far and wide – to everyone impacted by the COVID-19 virus, and all of you, the thousands of attendees who look forward to this event each year,” said Norm Coyne, owner UNTLD Media and Events. “Our team was incredibly excited to see you at FanCon in May, however, the safety of the fans, artists, exhibitors, guests and the rest of the community comes first as we hope to see every single one of you for many years to come.

“We know that this decision is going to greatly impact many of our individual artists,  small businesses and vendors of the show. To those whose businesses and livelihoods are affected by this date change and the other shifts in schedules during this time, our team is committed to doing whatever we can to help. In the meantime, deposits will be shifted to the new dates.  If for some reason, the new dates do not work for you, please let us know and we will work with you on refund of your deposit.”

For fans who purchased tickets through TicketsNorth, tickets will be honoured for the new dates. If for some reason you are unable to attend the new dates, a refund will be processed through the TicketsNorth box office.

To all of of those who made a pledge though last year’s Kickstarter campaign, their tickets will also be honoured for the new dates.

“We are beyond grateful for your help with making sure Northern FanCon has continued and will still be moving forward this September,” Coyne said.
